This season includes:
Cycle 1: Bird Eggs - Eggs in soft pencil, Eggs with drawing ink, Eggs in watercolour
Cycle 2: Bird Nests - Learning about different birds and their nest materials, mark-making techniques in pencil & ink, Bird nest & Eggs in Watercolour
Cycle 3: Bird Feathers - Feathers in Chalk & Charcoal, Feathers in Black drawing ink, Feathers in vibrant inks and a Watercolour Pheasant feather.
Cycle 4: Anatomy of birds - Bird skulls in Chalk & Charcoal, A full bird skeleton in Chalk & Charcoal, Drawing and painting bird wings, Sumi-E style inky bird silhouettes
Cycle 5: Sketching birds - How to sketch sparrows, coal tits, wagtails and nuthatches in pencil, A pastel study of a Kestrel and a Red kite.
Cycle 6: Painting birds in watercolour - Sketching birds in flight, A watercolour sparrow step by step, Loose watercolour studies of a sparrow and a nuthatch!
Materials used in this project (not included in project price): 2B pencil, pencil/ pastel blenders, chalk & charcoal pencils, burnt umber pastel pencil, black and burnt umber drawing inks, 12 pan set of watercolours, brusho (not essential); 300GSM NOT Watercolour paper; Black and brown toned pastel paper.
